| From our vineyard you can reach the
smaller of the two Montiggler lakes – a great place for swimming
- in just half an hour on foot. Alternatively you can enjoy the
larger Montiggler lake with its outdoor swimming pool. Lake Kalterer,
which is also close by, is the perfect place for water sports fans.
Spring is a great time to go on hikes through the blossom, and
in Autumn you can partake of the new season’s wines in the
rustic local wine cellars.
The south of South Tyrol has a wealth of easy and medium-difficulty
hikes and mountain bike rides.
The most beautiful and best known mountains in the Dolomites are
within easy reach. Culture-vultures are guaranteed to find something
to interest them in Eppan, which has more castles than any other
area in Europe.
Over two hundred historic and artistically valuable buildings bear
witness to the area’s rich history.
You can also visit the Ötzi Museum in Bolzano and the South
Tyrolean Museum of Wine in Kaltern.
The annual Christmas market in Walterplatz in Bolzano tempts thousands
of tourists to South Tyrol year after year. |
